Very good review! Thanks

rantanamo says:

why the 6500 if you’re going for under $200.  Wouldn’t that be the 8610 or 8600?

Joy Mason says:

That was super helpful. I am now convinced that Epson is a good printer. Thanks for the experiments.

Christian Martinez says:

I’ve got an Epson and this rubbish isn’t working well again for that reason I don’t recommend to buy it.

He forgot to mention ink prices and price per page. Lexmark i think has that won at 1.1cents per page for text.

I Have a Kodak all in one printer and it’s total Crap !!, I don’t use it very often, but every time I do go to use it, it say “needs new cartridges” it appears the ink dries out over time without even using it, It wont even print out it’s own test page properly now, about a year old and ready for the Bin….Fred In England.

This guy get pay by Epson so of course Epson going to win.

wdmnetwork says:

Actually a good review… well done. Ink price and how long they last comparison would have helped as stated below but this review made me go with the epson hands down. I got the Epson WorkForce 845 instead though. Even better

David Perry says:

My epson stylus printer is 4 years old it prints photos on regular paper without bleed through or warping, ink cartridges last longer and you can buy all 4 cartridges for less than the price of one hp ink cartridge, prints fast, print heads rarely clog, paper jams only happen if I use warped or folded paper which all printers and copiers hate, and the printer warms up fast. I LOVE MY EPSON STYLUS PRINTER! If you are suffering with your hp printer, SWITCH TO AN EPSON. My parents used to have HP printers and they all broke and the thermal print heads clog all the time.

na12229 says:

I do not recommend Epison printers. I have one and it runs out of ink very fast. Also the scanner or any other function won’t even work if the ink is empty- rendering it useless!!!!

k0941982 says:

Epsons are shit. DO NOT BUY!

Jason Lee says:

But to save the ink cartridge cost, buy HP Officejet 6500a for better refilling.

Edmund says:

Well I can tell that the main reason why HP printers & Canon printers say that the ink needs to dry is so that when the paper goes back in the printer, the ink doesn’t smudge against the printer, which sometimes can be an issue with duplex printers that don’t let the ink dry. However, HP & Canon should set specific times for how long the ink should dry, because a small picture and a large picture covering most of the page will each take at least 20 seconds, so there should be a timer.
